This policy covers the information Closeout Call collects through this website and through the work we do for contractors.

What we collect

From contractors who contact us: name, company, phone number and the area they work in.
From contractors we work with: copies of estimates they've sent, which include homeowners' names, addresses, phone numbers, project details and prices.
From homeowners we call: whether the project went ahead, who did the work if it wasn't our client, the approximate winning price if offered, the reason for the decision, and anything else you choose to tell us.
For visibility work: the answers public AI assistants and search engines give about our clients' businesses.
From this website: standard server logs.

How we use it

To report back to the contractor who hired us.
To pass along, the same day, any homeowner who wants to talk to that contractor.
To produce general findings about how remodeling projects are won and lost, with no names or contact details in them.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information. We don't share a homeowner's information with anyone except the contractor whose estimate led to the call. We don't add anyone to a marketing list.

How long we keep it

Estimate files from a contractor are kept only for the length of the engagement and deleted when it ends. A contractor can ask us to return or delete them at any time. Two things are kept longer: the phone numbers of anyone who asks us not to call again, so we can honor that request, and anything we are legally required to keep.

General findings

We combine answers across clients into general findings — for example, how long homeowners take to decide. These contain no names, addresses or phone numbers, and we never publish a finding based on fewer than five answers.

Service providers

We use outside services for phone, email, storage and payments. They get only what they need to do their job.
